Update July 15, 2013

Due to unforeseen forces of nature and equipment failure Own Gold announces that it has temporarily suspended dredging operation on its Montana mining claim. Two major back to back winter storms hit the upper Midwest in April and delayed the start of the dredging season on the Missouri River.

The Company’s Missouri River claim consists of a 14 mile stretch of river with over 1 million recoverable ounces of gold according to recent geological reports.

With mountain passes and roads clear for transport the Own Gold Montana crew initiated lake trials of the dredging barge in preparation of this year’s mining activities. The results of the trials demonstrated that the main power plant of the barge was failing to provide adequate power to operate the suction dredge.

The crews spent a full week trouble-shooting in efforts to repair the engine but were unsuccessful. Due to the age of the power plant and scarcity of replacement parts Own Gold’s management decided to replace the power plant at considerable cost with a new more powerful engine that would ensure continuous reliable operation and production for years to come.

To date the old power plant has been disassembled and removed from the barge and the new engine is expected to be delivered by the end of this week. We also took the opportunity to order all new hydraulic systems and manifolds for the complete automation of production runs. We anticipate that we should be up and running again for the production of gold by the end of the month. It should take us several months to catch up on our delivery schedule.

There have been some changes in management at Own Gold. Craig Nelson, former CEO has left the company and was replaced with Lawrence Wunderlich who assumed the position of President and Chief Executive. Mr. Wunderlich has over 16 years experience running companies as an executive including a publicly traded biotechnology company.

Recently, the Company hired Mike Clifton as Production Manager. Mr. Clifton has years of experience in this field and is in charge of increasing gold production by enlarging our dredging fleet and overseeing operations.

We are actively negotiating to acquire additional mining properties in order to grow the Company and increase production.

We appreciate your patience and look forward to giving you regular updates on our progress.
